I’ve been plugging away with CodeIgniter for my latest project, and I must say that for a person who doesn’t program with PHP it’s pretty easy to get things up and running! I had the bases of my project up in a matter of minutes. Granted I had already had the Template HTML Page ready with my CSS.

CodeIgniter’s Framework is based off the Model, View, Controller Design Pattern. I’m creating an Athletic “Facebook” website. Which people will be able to create athletic profiles and upload photos and videos of themselves. The built in features of CodeIgniter really helps getting file uploads ,database queries and image manipulation up and running on your site in no time.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hard at work developing the new McGill Martlet Hockey site, a site that was designed to help create greater insight to the world of women’s hockey at the university level.

From design sketches to creation we have been hard at work creating a new site that works with both functionality and visual styling. Being able to keep up to date on how the Martlets are doing as well as being able to follow tournaments that either the Martlets are competing in or hosting, such as the McGill Martlet Showdown 2008
